@TheRoc96 Presents: Reasonable Doubt 20th Anniversary
To say I'm inspired by Roc-A-Fella Records and the whole movement would be an understatement. They're the reason I do what I do, the reason why I'm my own boss, the reason I move how I move, the reason why I chose to be an entrepreneur and build something from the ground up. I was influenced by their moves since I heard the black album. Yea I was late but I was only 6 when Reasonable Doubt dropped and I started to shape my musical taste around 2004. The black album sparked my interest in the movement and from there I've been hooked.
Reasonable doubt is my favorite Jay Z album ever, where do I start?! Even tho the life that Hov was rapping about wasn't the life I ever lived, I could relate to the motivation, the hunger, the flyness & the desire to boss up and be something greater than his circumstances. The album resonated with me on a different level, I look at it as a guide to life! The highs, the lows, the pitfalls and the motivation! Thank You to everyone involved in creating that MASTERPIECE.
Fast foward to today, hit up the Reasonable Doubt 20th Anniversary Celebration & Pop Up shop @ 347 West Broadway, and I was blown away! Salute to Biggs & his whole team for putting together the ILLEST build out ever, make sure you check out ROC96.com for all the fly merch! Also check out Shop.Rocnation.com for the all fly clothing & items the big homie Emory designing, Legendary! Recreating D&D Studios where Jay recorded the album felt like I was right back in 96! Listening to the classic album being played back! I can officially I listen to Reasonable Doubt with Biggs & Emory! Maannn that's major because I'm a student of the game and I appreciate the path these legends paved for my generation & I to walk thru! They set the level high! I just hope I can match it in due time!
